Report for Month 2

Report for Month 2 (17 June 2009 – 16 July 2009)

On 23th June 2009, the forst formal meeting had been conducted.

 Cyberkids had discussed about Cyber Library project.

 With the helped and guidance from Cikgu Ling, the cyberkids were taught how to use www.freewebs.com for Cyber Library project.

 Cyberkids created a new account in www.freewebs.com for the Cyber Library project. The URL is:

  www.cyberlibrary.webs.com

A new e-mail account was also created for Cyber Library website to let people send stories/poems/jokes/comments about our Cyber Library.

All Cyberkids were told to find more stories, poems, riddles and jokes after Cyber Library was created.

On 30th June 2009, cyberkids were gathered to have their 2nd meeting.

They had discussed about CK@School and about Cyber Library website.

 Cyberkids discussed about CK@School Banner:

To make our own OR To buy one.

How should the CK@School banner be design.

 Discussed about Cyber Library in details:

Posted materials in Cyber Library must included:

o   Source of the materials (Author, website etc…)

o   Moral Values

o   Meaning of vocabulary

On 7th July 2009, cyberkids had their 3rd meeting.

They had discussed about CK@School:

o   Discussed about CK@School banner, launching ceremony and activities.

o   CK@School banner.

§  Decided to buy one.

§  CK@School launching Ceremony included:

§  Tell students about what is Maxis Cyberkids about.

§  Sharing about Maxis Cyberkids Camp.

§  Tell students about our Cyber Library website.

§  Tell students and teachers about CK@School activities.

§  All cyberkids and students shall sing “Our Children Our Future”.

o   CK@School activities.

§  Teachers may bring students to PPSMI and log on our Cyber Library website to read stories, poems, riddles etc. and make their Nilam records

§  6 members of Cyberkids are separated in 3 groups to teach students about photoscape, photostory, and audacity.

§  Students in each class shall watch photostory which made by cyberkids at the Maxis Cyberkids Camp.

 On 9th July 2009, Cyberkids had their 4th meeting.

During the meeting, detail discussion about the CK@School and School Project –Cyber Library.

CK@School launching ceremony and activities

Cyberkids prepared for the CK@School launching ceremony with the help of the two teachers.

Had a short rehearsal for the CK@School launching ceremony.

Try on the school computers to log on our Cyber Library website to test the speed of the internet.

During 14th of July, the launching of CK@School was successful by our PK Petang, En William Tedong.

The sharing of Photoscape, Photostory and audacity had been conducted successfully.

The members of Cyber Library had been increased.
