Project Title:                      Library on Net - Cyber Library

Introduction

  • To create a library on the net which contains all kinds of reading materials
  • Students who live in rural areas can now read more through this project
  • NILAM program of SMKJA will be more successful
  • Students can have fun in reading


Objectives

  • Encourage students to read.
  • Let the students have fun in reading.
  • Build up reading culture in our school and community.


Goals and Targeted Group

  • Students of SMK JALAN ARANG
  • Teenagers
  • Anyone


Problem Statements

  • Some students who live in rural areas do not read enough.
  • Some students cannot write well in BM and BI because they do not read enough.
  • Reading materials do not have enough varieties


Project Implementation Plan

  • To create a library on the net.
  • During NILAM lesson, teachers can bring the students  to the computer lab to log on to the Cyber Library and do NILAM records.
  • Hold a short-story writing competition to encourage students to read more to write more.
  • To have a computer in the library so that students who do not have a computer at home can log on to our Cyber Library.

- Conduct meetings and lead the team.

- Take the leader’s place when the leader is not around.

- Help give ideas, help carry out the project and update portal.

  • Pen drives : RM200
  • Web  Hosting : RM 300
  • A4 paper/ Accessories : RM200
  • Printer : RM600
  • Prizes for short stories competition : RM300

 Total: RM1600


Conclusions

  • Through this project, we want to build up reading culture in our school and community so that students will have fun in reading and improve their writing skills.
