It was the first day of the camp. I was really excited and I wanted to know what we would do in the camp. I was well rested so I was bursting with energy. We went to the training room and were grouped by country. We were introduced to the Cyberkids portal and we created our own blogs. We got acquainted with our Malaysian groupmates and we started rehearsing for our presentation in the evening: The group Warcry, Group name and logo, and a short cultural presentation. The Flag Bearers of each country were called to rehearse what we would do in the Opening Ceremony. When the Opening Ceremony was started, we tucked in our shirts and waited outside the Ballroom doors. I was feeling a little nervous because I was going to stand beside some very powerful people! After we put our country’s flags in their stands, we went to a special table for the Flag Bearers. But we didn’t stay there for long. Most of us went back to their own country’s tables during the appetizer course. After eating, I was introduced to the Chicken Dance! It was a really fun dance and a lot of people enjoyed it. When we went back to our rooms, we worked on our Group logo, and after we were called back to the training room we practiced our presentation. Then, it was presentation time! I was literally shaking in my shoes because of nervousness. You see, I have stage fright. But when we were finished presenting, I felt a weight was lifted from my chest. We had supper, went to our rooms, watched some tv, then went to sleep. It was a great day!
