Day 1: 24 June 2008


 
7:30am – 8:30am [Registration]

9:30am [Briefing]

Participants were given a short briefing on the camp overall activities (timetable), rules and regulations, introduction to facilitators

10:00am [Icebreaking]
11:00am [Team Player Qualities]
12:00noon [Tools & Resources]


Participants involved in all activities and participated well.
In order to avoid traffic jam when accessing Internet, each school was allowed to have 2 laptops connected to Internet.

2:30pm [Treasure Hunt @ Net]

Participants were divided into 6 groups.  Each group consists of participants of different schools. They have come up with creative group names: Kidz Generation, Super Cyber, D Storm, Pahlawan Cyber, Gen IT and Cyber 9.
Participants enjoyed the games and interacted well with each team members.

8:00pm [Group Presentation]

Based on the Treasure Hunt @ Net activity, participants have come up with creative ICT model such as rocket, satellite, laptop, tsunami alert buoy from the resources provided.

Good teamwork and presentations by all.

Day 2: 25 June 2008

7:00am – 7:30am Morning Exercise

Students were great and participated well in the exercise

8:30am – 9:30am Internet Ethics
    
The session went well. No issues.

11:00am -1:00pm Online Communication Project

Almost all of the participants are familiar with Yahoo! email. They are now being introduced to Gmail and Skype.

2:30pm – 5:00pm Online Communities

Introduction to Blog at Maxis Cyberkids-2 Camp Portal www.cyberkids.com.my/ck2008
There was a short jam when all wanted to access the portal at one time. Participants started creating their own personal blogs and one blog for school. They were informed that the portal was not accessible to outsiders yet.

5:30pm – 6:30pm Riadah
    
Participants had a great time playing 3 games:
Bola & Raga, Kangaroo bowling and Lontar Getah.

8:00pm – 10:00pm Blog Preview
    
Participants presented their first review of their school blog.  Good presentation by all.

Closing Ceremony
  • VIP from MoE – Tuan Haji Lazim, PPD Larut Matang dan Selama representing MoE
  • En Afandi Md Taib, JPN Perak
  • Venue: Taiping Golf Resort
  • Attendance – 100 parents and families have confirmed attendance.
Others
A team of 3 pax from Maxis Market Research will meet participants from 25-27 June 2008.

Day 3: 26 June 2008

7:00am – 7:30am Morning Exercise

Participants were on time and participated in the activity.

8:30am – 9:30am Photography using Photoscape

Participants enjoyed the session very much. They were given a task to create story and take pictures outdoors.

As an avid photographer herself, Kurnia shared her collection and useful tips with the audience.

11:00am -1:00pm Audio using Audacity


Participants resumed their classroom session with audio editing - Audacity.

2:30pm – 5:00pm Project Work
    
Below is the list of project work:

5:00pm – 6:00pm Riadah

Due to raining, there were no outdoor activities.  Indoor activity “On-the-spot” was held.

8:00pm – 10:00pm Project Preparation

Everyone was busy working on their project and preparing the blog.

Market Research

A few students were selected to be interviewed by Maxis Market Research team.

Day 4: 27 June 2008

8:30am – 10:30am Project Finalization

Participants finalized and completed their projects according to the guidelines provided.
Progress of project development: Planning & Project Outline stage - 100% completed

11:00am -12:30pm Project Rehearsal

Each school presented their school project as a preparation for the final presentation later in the afternoon. Kurnia as the lead trainer gave comments.

2:30pm – 6:30pm    Project Presentation & Evaluation

All students have performed well and showed enthusiasm when presenting their project.

Winners will be announced during the Closing Ceremony on Saturday

8:30pm – 10:00pm Dinner

BBQ Dinner was arranged with the Hotel – good spread.
Dress code – casual wear.
Karaoke set was installed to the delight of all. Male students really had fun singing in a group!
There was a birthday celebration for those who were born in June.
This was also the time to say goodbye as tomorrow afternoon all participants will check out.

Day 5: 28 June 2008

8:30am – 12:00am - Practice Closing Ceremony

All participants involved in the practice.

2:30pm – 5:30pm - Closing Ceremony

Guests arrived in stages from 2:00pm to 2:30pm. Very good turnout and the seats were taken up. 
Students were involved in all activities eg to perform as MC, recite Doa, read the Oath and do the entertainment segment! They performed well even though they had a short time to practice.
